Requirements gathering session with Kirstie Hatcher and Julia Warsap on 22/03/2016
- About Us - more detailed text about the centre and its work. It will be implemented with a static page
- People - gallery of headshot photos, which can be clicked through to individual biog pages. This will require an specific content type, with the following fields:
- First name
- Last name
- Organisation
- Job title
- Biography (up to 200w)
- Collaborating partners - as above. This will be a static page, including the logos (and maybe some descriptions) of the academic/consultant agencies involved (not the same as the founders).
- Publications - basically a page where we can include links to publications. This will require a specific content type with a field which allows to upload PDF files. It will be hidden in the first version.
- News blog - Page to house all blog posts. This will require a content type with a title and a WYSIWYG body field. It will also have "share buttons" at the end of each blog post (full view), including Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.
- The Pattern Book. This is still being pending on being clarified with Nigel. It could consists of an specific content type (wiki-like), which CECAN users could edit, including the creation of revisions. In the simpler case, it will be a static page displaying the pattern book developed using external collaborative tools.
- Events page. This will consist of an specific content type with the following fields:
- Title
- Body: wysiwyg field, with a teaser
- Date: date field, start + end (granularity DD/MM/YYY - HH:MM)
- Status: this will be a reference term to a taxonomy with the following categories:
- Open
- Pending
- Closed
- Contact: e-mail field
- Audience: text field (expected audience of the event, e.g. researchers)
- Home page, with: introductory copy, imagery, CECAN logo, partner logos area, social media feed, news blog feed. This will be a static page, with a slideshow. This should provide a good overview of the main four areas/ideas: complexity, environment, food, [missing one].

- Main menu, with the following items:
- Home
- About us
- Collaborating partners
- People: This will link to a landing page with a grid with presenting the picture, first name + last name and job title of the team members. They will be sorted alphabetically (DESC BY last_name).
- Events: This will link to a landing page, including a description + a block with the 3 latest blog posts, with a pager. The teaser and the title will be displayed.
- Publications
- Patterns book (TO-REVIEW)
- Blog: This will link to a landing page, including a description + a block with the 3 latest blog posts, with a pager. The teaser and the title will be displayed.
- Right side bar, displayed across the whole site
- Twitter timeline
- Facebook timeline
- Blog feed: links to the latest 3 blog post, linked to the node.
- Calendar: displaying the events
- Breadcrumbs
- Main page
- Footer
- Founders logos
- Disclaimer + extra information (login, license, ...)
- Social network accounts and contact: Twitter + FB + LI + e-mail address
Sketch:
- Themes. The site will be built using https://www.drupal.org/project/businessgroup_zymphonies_theme . A demo can be found at http://demo.zymphonies.com/free-theme/d8/businessgroup-zymphonies-theme/
- Roles and moderation. At least administrators. Depending on the the Patterns book, it might be necessary to create another role for CECAN members, with special permissions. These accounts will be manually created by administrators (no need for open registration).
- Hosting. Domain transfer: It will be hosted at dusty. The domain is hold by Nigel. Contact him to deploy the first beta version.
- Training session: a training session will be held with the administrators of the site, in a similar way as with ERIE (see https://github.com/CRESS-Surrey/erie_website_code/wiki/Notes-for-training-session), with the final version, before the official launch.
- Development schedule and delivery date
- Alpha version for 13/04/2016
