PCDM Examples & Object Type Profiles

This is the space for gathering, grouping, discussing, and starring (as a community) PCDM examples, object type recommended implementations, and shared application profiles.

This is a work in progress coming from a recent discussion on the PCDM Google Group.

What Examples? What Profiles?

This is a starting point for generating, gathering, and storing PCDM examples as found, discussed, or requested. From discussion and sharing of more PCDM examples, we hope that object type "profiles" start to emerge. These "profiles" could be as simple as a recommended group of core classes and predicates to use with a particular PCDM model implementation, or as complex as machine-actionable, encoded metadata application profiles for PCDM implementation validation. This will help lead, we hope, to community-sourced best practices and recommendations of usage.

For now, we are roughly grouping examples and related resources here by Object Types (think like Form types: Book, Postcard, Newspaper, Research Datasets, etc.) to assist in targeting discussions

How can I contribute or help?

1. Please add examples or links to examples of PCDM in action.
2. Review the examples gathered and share your input on the PCDM Google Group or through comments on the example, if possible. Some threads will be put up on the Groups as this gets filled in.
3. Discuss emerging best examples and practices on the PCDM Google Group.
4. Add, review, comment on and implement (where applicable/able) PCDM Object Type "profiles" as they are put forward.
5. Wash, rinse, repeat. :-)
