july 23 release

A new release that supports deployment of secure hadoop (not hbase-related, though) will be released soon. This page is to collect notes about what I need to do and have done related to this.

gary created the ‘secure-hbase’ branch from a specific commit: 78633da54d67498ec7c6.

after that, I reverted some code that I merged from him due to unrelated reasons.
