Surfacing something from an internal discussion: it turns out that the reason the sourcelink and build tasks packages have brand new versions is that some of this stuff is now built into the .NET 8.0 SDK. We need to work out what an appropriate response to this really is. We might just say that we don't support older .NET SDKs any more, in which case maybe we can drop these refs entirely. But if we do still mean to support older SDKs, that might actually be a reason not to take the upgrades. |
