Am I allowed to use Name-Based Grid in my own projects?

Of course, that's what it's here for! All code and binaries belonging to the project are published under the MIT License.

Do I have to provide names for all columns and rows?

If you do not want to place anything in a particular column or row (for instance, when the column or row only serves as a spacing element), you do not need to provide it with a name.

Are there any restrictions on how I name my columns and rows?

No, currently, there are no restrictions. Any non-null string will do. However, it is adviseable to pick a uniform schema at least within any one NameBasedGrid.
