SiriRemoteBTT is BTT(BetterTouchTool)'s helper software
SiriRemoteBTT with support for the new Siri Remote, now availabe
I just finished the first SiriRemoteBTT alpha with support for the new Apple TV Remote (Siri Remote) and BTT.
You can pair a Siri Remote with your Mac and configure some gestures or assign actions to it’s buttons. Also, you can control your mouse using the remote’s trackpad
Needs Bluetooth 4.0 support The remote’s trackpad goes to sleep after about a minute of not using it. It is reactivated by pressing any button, thus maybe keep one of the buttons unassigned and use it only to wake up the trackpad.
Just tested the SiriRemoteBTT with BTT and it is working very well.
You can download it here
The script file in the following path can be used to directly modify after installation "/Library/Application Support/SiriRemote/"
##Check this before you start installation To configure your Siri Remote with your Mac, do the following:
Step 1: install the New Better Touch Tool
Step 2: Unplug your Apple TV (Siri Remote will not pair unless this is done)
Step 3: Open System Preferences → Bluetooth
Step 4: Hold the Menu + Volume Up button for 5 seconds until you see a new unnamed Bluetooth device
Step 5: Click pair on the unknown Bluetooth device and your Siri Remote will be paired
Step 6: Launch Better Touch Tool and click the Siri Remote header
Step 7: Download and use SiriRemoteBTT or use following method Step 7: Assign mouse control to the Siri Remote Touch Surface by adding a Siri Remote button press gesture and assigning it to the Toggle Siri Remote Mouse Control Mode On/Off action. You can also feel free to assign a left or right mouse click to any of the buttons on the remote, including the clickable Touch Surface.
