Description

This is an in progress (see what is upcoming below) but successfully tested branch which adds the mppca-denoising:

- Veraart et al., NeuroImage (2016) 142, p 394-406 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.neuroimage.2016.08.016)
- Does, MD al. Evaluation of principal component analysis image denoising on multi‐exponential MRI relaxometry. Magn Reson Med. 2019; 81: 3503– 3514. https://doi.org/10.1002/mrm.27658

to the toolbox and the denoising module with the full metadata processing, GUI and dependencies features of the hMRI-toolbox.

Tests

Initial tests have successfully been performed on the (magnitude) data:
0.5 mm PD data (only magnitude, 8 Echoes, .img/.hdr files)

Current to-do list:

  • Clarify and add the denoising for phase images as well
  • Save as nifti the supplementary files (currently only denoised images are output)
  • Add additional documentation to the Matlab batch
  • Add mppca denoising to the wiki documentation as well
