Settings not automatically loaded at startup

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create valid settings for connecting to a server
2. Connect to server and play song
3. Close subgadget
4. Open subgadget
5. Attempt to access playlists or do a search: you cannot.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect that subgadget will automatically reconnect to the previous server and 
that I would be able to access the server immediately.

Instead, I see a "settings missing" message, and I need to open the gadget 
settings dialog and press OK before I am connected to the server.  Note that my 
settings are still present in the settings dialog, I don't need to re-enter 
them...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.9 on Win7
