Hey everyone, its been a while. This update is a big one compared to previous ones, I took some time to improve the README, because I realised there wasn't actually a proper tutorial on how to get things setup. I also finally added OpenCanopy to pretty up the boot process, rather than having the ugly text in the top left, it was functional, but not macOS like.

Updated kexts as usual, added RestrictEvents to enable seamless software updates, changed my personal Optiplex to use Intel Wi-Fi since Sonoma broke Broadcom cards and other minor tweaks.

Please read the updated README for more info, but you can download this, add your System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, boot from USB and be good to go!

Issues or PR's welcome to improve the project if you found anything that was wrong and fixed it 😄

Happy Hackintoshing!

P.S. Thanks a lot for the 80+ stars, hope this project helped you out 😃

Heya! Just a quick maintenance release, nothing much changed for this particular setup over the last few OpenCore versions.

Had quick check on the README and updated some bits + added new information, otherwise it's business as usual :)

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

Happy Hackintoshing!

Heya! Here is the macOS Ventura update. Despite the Ventura update being riddled with bugs for normal Macs, the good old Optiplex is chugging along quite nicely, thanks to the Dortania team!

I've also updated the main image to reflect the beautiful Ventura orange and add some internal pictures, just to make the documentation more complete. Kexts are the same, just being on the latest available versions.

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

Happy Hackintoshing!

P.S. Thanks for the 35+ stars! I hope this repo helped you guys out :)

Hey! Hope everyone is doing well. Here's a small update to my repository. There isn't much to talk about, just the typical update files from OpenCore and run the sanity checker.
Hopefully the next repo update we'll be running macOS Ventura!

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

Hello! Hope everyone is keeping safe! Seems like OpenCore has reached its maturity season as everything is rock solid and there aren't too many updates going on, so I guess this "build" is a good starting point for you for the foreseeable future.
I'm still using this daily and haven't forgotten about this repo. I was thinking of upgrading from a 7050 to something like a 7080/7090 Micro, maybe even a 7000 (Intel 12th Gen) depending on the compatibility.
On the other hand, it may become a Linux box once Apple stops supporting Intel CPU's, which is still a few years out.

Anyway, here's the small changelog:

Updated to OpenCore 0.8.0
Updated AppleALC and FeatureUnlock
Updated to Monterey 12.4

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

Hi everyone! Another month of usual updates, nothing special, hope everyone is safe! Here's the changelog:

Updated kexts
Updated to Monterey 12.2.1

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

Hello everyone! Here's another maintenance release and small update to 0.7.8, just to keep things relatively new. It seems the OpenCore team are doing general upkeep, not many new additions recently, which is perfectly fine, my Hackintosh has been super stable, no complaints from me! Here's the changelog:

Updated to OpenCore 0.7.8
Updated kexts
Updated to Monterey 12.2
Updated README and BIOS files to fix info/errors

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

Sorry everyone for the long delay! I don't think there were many changes since 0.7.0 that affected this particular setup, apart from some new Kexts and variables. Here's the small changelog:

Updated to OpenCore 0.7.7
Updated relevant kexts
Added FeatureUnlock - https://github.com/acidanthera/FeatureUnlock
Swapped from Macmini8,1 SMBIOS to iMac18,1, there shouldn't be much difference, just the way it shows up as
Updated to Monterey, everything works as usual

As always, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail!

0.7.0

Various updates to comply with the OpenCore changes over these last few versions. Updated the readme with more information. Not much else really, everything is absurdly stable and worked like a charm. I am thinking of switching away to a Windows LTSC release whenever that will happen for more server stuff, but we'll see about that. Thank you for all the stars too! I hope this repo helped somebody out there :)

As usual, don't forget to set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail! Also, don't forget to check WiFi kexts if you have something different. itlwm is getting better and better ;)

0.6.7

Bit of a late release, conforms to the latest 0.6.7 changes for removal of Bootstrap etc. Very stable as always, been using it as a Plex Server, Wireshark VPN, Minecraft Server and Content Caching (which really sped up my main PC's Hackintosh for updates and other iOS devices) for a few months now with no issues! I know, I am insane for not using Windows for the server stuff, but we have to make these final years count for Intel Hackintoshing :)

Please make sure you set System Serial Number, System UUID, MLB and ROM in the config.plist at PlatformInfo, before you attempt to boot or it will fail! Also, don't forget to check WiFi kexts, don't use the Brcm kexts if you don't use a Broadcom card, use itlwm if you use an Intel WiFi card.

Come to think of it, I might need to switch to an Intel WiFi card since Airdrop and other Continuity features work much better than DW1560 or DW1820, ironically.
