Adding support for remote JS and CSS in Magento layout files.
Unlike other modules with seemingly similar functionality, this one treats the remote files the same way any other JS (or CSS) that's been added with "addJs" (or "addCss"). This means it will be rendered in the order specified in your layout file, unlike with many other solutions.
To add an external javascript write:
<action method="addJs"><script>//cdn.google.com/library.js</script></action>
For CSS:
<action method="addCss"><href>//cdn.yourdomain.com/style.css</href></action>
The key is using either "//", "http://" or "https://" and it'll automatically understand that it should not prepend the site url.
