This release marks a milestone for LTER-core-metabase. After this release, we will focus on helping projects adopt metabase, plus adapting the design towards generating EML 2.2 and working towards a 2.0 release for metabase.
Notable enhancements since version 0.9:
- Dataset methods are now modeled in detail. It is possible to input combinations of software, instrumentation, protocols, and data sources or provenance.
- Versioning the database design itself and migrating between versions are now made easier by a version tracker table and established practice of numbering patches.
- Information reused across the whole project ("boilerplate", e.g. funding, project abstract and personnel, contact, license) now live in the database, with options to designate different boilerplate "sets" for each dataset.
