Writing to these files could have negative outcomes since Manjaro already allows the user to select nonfree/free drivers upon installation, and the graphical hw manager doesn't override X anyway

I really dont understand why there is no notification email for this 👎 However. that functionality - is it really from no use? I mean we dont use it in the free drivers, but what about the non-free configurations? Thats an area I dont interact with. |

@CertifiedBlyndGuy we call this function when needed via our profiles. A removal is not needed. Only if none of our profiles don't need it anymore. Which profiles have conflicts? |

The nonfree Nvidia drivers with prime. They aren't even functional anymore, and under KWin at least, the X configuration isn't loaded for the nonfree cards. When trying to install them, it looks for files that aren't even provided leaving a half broken install behind. So it is to my understanding that we don't need this however if I'm wrong then please let me know. Thanks for getting around to this @philmmanjaro |
