- Decreased the size of the container image from 2.97GB to 2.56GB.
- Switching to 202405 would increase the size of the container image to over 6GB because sync-vs contains a whole development tool chain

Would be nice, but the newest SONiC Version we could get, at least for Edgecore is 202211 |

Edgecore 202211 differs significantly from Upstream SONiC 202311. We need to test the newer version to identify any issues in the upstream SONiC, hoping to prevent these issues from appearing in the proprietary downstream distribution. |
Sure, but we will eventually implement against a newer version which breaks in production ? |
