This may not be possible as-is

  1. Either all the dependent packages need to be rebuilt for ffmpeg v5.
  2. Or ffmpeg v4 and v5 packages should have clear separation so that both can be installed side-by-side.

I see; I'll close this then. Is there anything specific I could do to help with this? I'm not very knowledgeable in this whole ecosystem, but I'm willing to try.

You can work any of the points that I have mentioned. Not all programs have moved to ffmpeg v5. So, separating ffmpeg v4 and v5 may be the easier way to start. Feel free to discuss or share any idea 😊
