This works also with jquery 2.0, but phantom tests fail due to leaking jQuery object that has some GUID postfixed to it. |

Any chance of merging this in? Hate to have to use a fork to get jquery > 1.9 support without migration plugin. |

It changes the behaviour when setting initial selection with config to something that does not exist in <select> so that $select.val() returns null.
