Special characters

Here are some of the ways Flickboard can create special characters:

1. Forcing special characters to combine with the previous charcter, using the Zalgo button (bottom swipe on the return key)
2. Typing a diacritic symbol on the main or uppercase board (some diacritics, e.g. macrons, are only accessible via the uppercase board). Diacritics will automatically combine with the previous character if it matches a predetermined pairing. If you need a diacritic on some other character, use the Zalgo button.
3. Some special characters can be typed by swiping to the alt (top left on the spacebar) then typing the base character. This may depend on the OS settings and version of Android.
