Conversation List

In Quik, messages are organized into conversations, based on to whom the messages are sent.
When opening Quik, you are taken to a list of conversations, organized by which conversation has had the most recent activity. Archived conversations do not appear on this list, even though they are still on your phone.

Pinning Messages

You can pin messages to the top of the list. To do so, long-press on the conversation you wish to pin, tap the ellipsis menu at the top right, and tap "Pin to top".

Viewing and Sending Messages

To view a particular conversation, tap on it. The conversation will open and display all message sent to and received from the recipient(s).

Sending a Message

To send a message, tap on the text box at the bottom of the screen. Your keyboard should appear, allowing you to type your desired message. When you are satisfied with your message, press the send button on the right side of the text box.
Your message will be sent to the recipient(s) of the conversation you are currently viewing.
Please note: Sometimes, SMS messages can fail to be sent, for example, when you do not have cellular service. When this happens, Quik will notify you, and allow you to attempt to send the message again.

Attaching Files to a Message

Quik can use MMS to allow you to attach a digital contact, a photo saved to your phone, or a photo taken specifically for the message. To add an attachment, tap the + icon at the left hand side of the text box, and select either Attach a contact, Attach a photo, or Take a photo.

Scheduling Messages

In Quik there is a feature to schedule a message to be sent a later date.

Scheduling a Message

To schedule a message tap on the + icon to the left of the text field. Tap Schedule Message and then select the date and time for the message to send. Then tap the send button.

Viewing Scheduled Messages

To view your scheduled messages tap on the menu icon in the top left corner, and then tap on Scheduled. There will be a list of your scheduled messages.

Archiving Conversations

Archiving conversations is a feature that allows you to remove a conversation from the main list on the home page. When a conversation is archived it will only remove the conversation from the main list. If the archived conversation receives a message, you will receive a notification and the conversation will reappear in the main list.

Archiving a Conversation

To archive a conversation you have a few options:

  • Hold down on conversation on the main page. This will bring up a menu in the right of the screen. Tap the folder icon to archive the conversation.
  • In the conversation page, tap the ellipsis menu and tap Archive.
  • You can also configure the swipe action to archive the conversation when you swipe to either the right or left.

Viewing the Archived Conversations

Tap on the side menu icon in the top left, and click on Archived. From this page you can hold down the conversation in the list and tap on the folder icon to move the conversation back to the main page.

Sending to Multiple Recipients

In Quik there is the option to send to multiple recipients either through a group text or to each recipient individually.
To do so, tap the + icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select the first recipient within the contact list. Then tap the Add Person icon in the top right of the screen and select the next recipient. Continue this same process until you have selected all the recipients.
At this point, you can send your message. If you would not like the message to be sent as a group text but rather to each individual contact, tap the Send as group message toggle at the top of the screen.

Sorting Messages

To sort messages there are two options in Quik:

  1. By date received or sent. This is the default configuration.
  2. Unread on the top. This setting makes all unread messages float at the top of the conversation list. To enable it, go to settings, and scroll down to Unread at the top, and then tap the toggle.
