edu-sharing to SKOS converter

This converter converts the edu-sharing topic collections developed by the Fachportalmanger*innen to SKOS vocabularies.

If you run python src/main.py it will also push the vocabularies to a dedicated repository (defined in .env) and repeat its run every two hours.

Copy the example env to .env and edit as needed.

cp .env.example .env

You can also the scripts as standalone (see below)

First install requirements: pip install -r requirements.txt. Then run scripts depending on what you want.

To run it with docker:

• first build the container: docker build . (sometimes you have to run docker build --network=host . so that pip can get the packages)
• then run it with docker-compose up

convert_collection_to_skos.py:

This will list all topics with their IDs. You can then copy one and paste it in the command-line dialog.

auto_convert_collection_to_skos:

This will take the start_collection_id from the env-file and convert all its children collections.
