Thanks to @zhuwq75 for alerting us to the fact that our translation synchronization was broken.
The lupdate version we were using in the relevant workflows until now was 5.12 (ubuntu 20.04). After updating the workflow to ubuntu 22.04 to get lupdate version 5.15, over a hundred crucial strings that had disappeared are now back.
This is a backport fix, master has been fixed by the updated workflows already.
