In order to contribute content, a user must register with Open Siddur and create a profile.

After registering with Open Siddur, you will be prompted to create a profile. This profile is public information and will be associated with any contributions you make to the Open Siddur Project, including any original material that you wish to add to the database. Your profile will consist minimally of a name, which may be your real name or a pseudonym. Once you have created and saved your profile, the name that you use will appear in the list of contributors at the top of the page. You will see this list whenever you click on the "contributors" button in the header.

In addition to original content, you can contribute freely licensed material from another source. To attribute credit for this content, you must create a third-party profile. After logging in, click on the "contributors" button in the header. This will bring up a form for creating a third-party profile. Once you have filled out the form and saved the profile, the name of the third party will appear in the list of contributors at the top of the page.
