You will then receive a response indicating the next steps in handling your report. After the initial reply to your report, you will be keep informed of the progress towards a fix and full announcement, and may ask for additional information or guidance.

To disclose security vulnerabilities found in a third party crate, seek guidance from the individual crate's owners and their specific policies. Commonly, projects include a file named SECURITY.md that contains the crate's security policies and procedures.
