A class at UW is currently using DM 2.0 on the UW instance, and one of the students managed to make a folder, but not its contents, disappear from the TOC. She is sure she didn't accidentally delete the folder by going through the deletion process though - it sounds like either the internet connection was slow or the server was responding slowly while she was just clicking on objects in the folder trying to open them, and then the folder disappeared from the TOC. However, searching for the objects formerly in the folder through the Search feature reveals that the objects are still there, and can be opened, etc. So just the folder disappeared from the root structure, it seems.
Here's what the student reported:
I'm so glad the folder wasn't deleted! I'm not exactly sure what happened. I opened up some pictures to view them, but I only had one picture open at a time. Maybe I was trying to open them too fast. Some pictures were loading slow, so I clicked out of them before they were fully loaded. Then, the folder was simply gone. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, I'm not really sure what I did that made it glitch.

Here's the project: https://uw.digitalmappa.org/84 - can this be pulled and looked at to figure out how to prevent this from happening in the future? Needless to say, folders just disappearing is something that cannot be happening in any releasable version of the platform!
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
The missing folder was called "Week 3" or something, and several of the images in it can still be found and opened via links in the text doc named "Week 3: To Share--PLEASE READ" that is in the TOC still. All the images linked via that text doc were in the now missing Week 3 folder.
