This ensures continuity in how panes are iterated on when building widget state
We can associate each state with a `Pane` and compare that against the new panes to remove states w/ respective panes which no longer exist. Because we always increment `Pane`, new states are always added to the end, so this retain + add new state approach will ensure continuity when panes are added & removed
State continuity is dependent on keeping a node associated to it's original `Pane` id. When splitting -> swapping nodes, we need to assign it back to the original `Pane` to enforce continuity.
Fix/pane grid continuity
Prevent unintended keyboard input during focus.
Since Rust version 1.81, sort_by will panic if the provided comparison function does not implement a total order. See https://github.com/rust/lang/rust/issues/129561 for more details. The simplest fix seems to be to use total_cmp instead of partial_cmp.
Use float total_cmp instead of partial_cmp to get a total order.
Update `wgpu` to `23.0`

Working on this again, turns out that problem that I had brought up is a problem in the base pop-os repo, so nvm on that So far, rebasing to 415fd4f doesn't have any conflicts |

By exposing this as a widget, rather than as a type of window, it can be positioned and scaled like any other iced widget. It provides an API that's similar to an iced image. The initial version of this just took a `wl_buffer`. But this makes buffer re-use problematic. In particular, the docs for `wl_surface::attach` note that `wl_buffer::release` events become unreliable if a buffer is attached to multiple surfaces. And indicates that a client should create multiple `wl_buffer` instances, or use `wp_linux_buffer_release`. So we store information about the buffer, and create `wl_buffer`s as needed. `SubsurfaceBuffer::new` also returns a future that's signaled when all references are destroyed, both `wl_buffer`s and any instance of the `SubsurfaceBuffer` that might still be used in the `view`. So this seems like the best solution for now, within the model-view-update architecture. `cosmic-osd` expected this event, but it wasn't being sent. This isn't hard to fix, unless there's some non-obvious issues that this was commented to avoid (that is still applicable).

this ensures focus is updated correctly
This replaces the previous check which appeared to rely on the assumption that initiating a drag_resize without a left mouse press wouldn't actually start a resize (this assumption is false on Windows).
This avoids issues with apps like the portal that creates a screenshot, sets the clipboard, and then has the data device destroyed when the window is closed.
This type is an `Arc`, so there's no major benefit to using a reference, or a `Cow` to make it generic. Drag surfaces currently require a `'static` `Element`, so this is needed their.
Otherwise the `draw` call in response to `AboutToWait` causes this list to grow, and eventually hit errors in `sendmsg` due to too many buffered file descriptors from creating subsurfaces. Probably the number of places `UserInterface::draw` are called should be cleaned up. And it shouldn't be called in `AboutToWiat` like this. Some improvements could probably be made in upstream iced.
This was previously needed, but should be redundant now that an empty input region is set for the subsurface. With that, the subsurface should never get input events, so mapping them isn't needed.
This argument was completely ignored by the wgpu renderer, and used only for the `clip_mask` by the `tiny_skia` renderer. I believe creating a new clip mask is correct. This way it's possible to render offscreen without needing a surface.
`.create_surface()` actually created another wgpu surface for the parent surface. Which ends up calling `vkCreateSwapchainKHR`. Looks like that technically should have errored with `VK_ERROR_NATIVE_WINDOW_IN_USE_KHR`, but Mesa doesn't produce that error in every case where it should: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/7467.
This is potentially useful. Other properties are specific to shm/dmabuf, and not meaningful in general.
In an earlier version, this took a `WlBuffer`, so the width/height arguments were needed. But since using the same `wl_buffer` multiple times conflicted with `release` handling we instead accept `SubsurfaceBuffer`, which stores the same height/width.

I'm now right before the reactive rendering commits... let's see how hard those are to rebase EDIT: Yeah those are gonna be harder to rebase. @wash2 this should be ready whenever, I think I'll leave the reactive rendering rebase out for this PR |

Haven't tested this for regressions, but the only rebase conflicts were in
widget/src/pane_grid.rs
, specifically in thePaneGrid::diff
function.
