Since all current macro implementations are for fields with internal representation
[u64; 4]
, I found it helpful to have conversions to theu64
digits (with Montgomery reduction) without further converting to bytes. This is useful for BigInt operations, for example. It also cleans up theto_repr
code slightly as a bonus.One possible concern is the ambiguity of endian-ness, but this is already present in the
[u8; 32]
conversions, so I figured it's ok to just always assume little endian.montgomery_reduce_short
for no-asm. I didn't find this in Montgomery reduction inline asm revisited #55 so I added it here.montgomery_reduce_256
