Are you sure you need to hold Ctrl when you press Enter? I can't confirm that one.

That's how it worked on my system (windows) otherwise it doesn't do anything because it does not copy it from the other layer.

I meant, for background layers, you have to:
- Snap and Ctrl+click to select the geometry to copy
- Move or enter the distance, and you should get a preview
- Ctrl+click to past the offset copy. Or press Enter. But I read here Ctrl+ Enter. Or do I misunderstand? Both work on macOS but I want to be sure we don't add unnecessary constraints.

I went back and tried it again and you are correct. When I was testing before I swear it wasn't working that way.
I'll remove the Ctrl+Enter. Thanks
