An unofficial Windows Universal Plattform App for Berlin based N26
N26 (known as Number 26 until July 2016) is a German direct bank, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, that offers its services throughout most of the Eurozone and is expanding to the UK in 2018 and the US in early 2019.
N26 provides a free basic current account and a Debit MasterCard card for their customers. Additionally customers can request overdraft protection, investment products, and premium current accounts. The premium MasterCard product, referred to as N26 Black, is currently available in Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain.
The App is currently in its very early stages with not a lot of functions implemented and the design being quite lacking. At this moment it is more of a presentation of your account than a full banking app.
However, I'm working on getting all (or at least most) of the functionality of the official Apps working.
- Login / Authentication, + Log in with Windows Hello
- Loading account and balance
- Loading and showing transactions
- Handling Spaces
- Showing your spaces and how much Money is in them
- Create, Edit or Delete your spaces
- Transfer Money between spaces
- Save all of the above in an encrypted offline cache
- Literally everything else
The goal is to make this App just as secure and reliable as the official ones. All data this App ever stores will be locally and heavily encrypted with your own password. Security is definitely a priority here.
That being said, I do not guarantee anything. If you use the App and your accounts gets blocked by N26, a transfer misfunctions and sends too much money or someone breaks the encryption I cannot be held responsible.
Anyone is welcome to help.
Since it's currently at the "throw code in and show somewhat useful results" state, especially help with design is welcome since I'm far from an expert in that kind of thing.
Coding help is also welcome, so feel free to create a pull request!
