Raspbian and photobooth image creation with PiBakery

wikijm edited this page Jun 28, 2019 · 3 revisions

In order to facilitate and automate the installation on memory card, it is possible to use the PiBakery software.

PiBakery is a a blocks based drag and drop tool that allows you to customise and edit your Raspberry Pi without powering the Pi on. Simply insert your SD card into your computer, choose which features you want on your Pi, and hit Write. PiBakery will write the latest version of Raspbian to your SD card, with your customisations added too.

It will be used in particular to:

  1. Download the latest Raspbian image
  2. Create, in a graphic way, a "recipe" to run at the 1st launch of the Raspberry (installation and configuration of the OS + photo booth)
  3. Prepare the 'recipe' to be played at each start (automatic launch of Photobooth)
  4. Write the prepared image in SD/MicroSD card, ready-to-use

Below is an animation showing how to import the'recipe' to run, and write the personalized Raspbian image on the memory card:

For security purpose, it is strongly recommended to modify the block "Set user password to" in order to change the default password.
