Since this repro is no longer maintained, I figured it would be best to add a notice in the readme.

The new 2.0 version features:

  1. a grunt build that includes jshint
  2. bower support
  3. provides accent insensitive search
  4. any many more to come...

Added a function to remove diacritics and use it to replace accented characters with their unmarked equivalents in both the search string and the comparison text. In addition to normal behavior, one can now find "México" by searching "Mexico" and vice versa.
