Overview

The rheadb project is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive community for all contributors. We value the participation of every individual and strive to create an environment that is respectful, collaborative, and free from harassment and discrimination. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior within the rheadb community, both online and in-person, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

Expected Behavior

As a member of the rheadb community, you are expected to:

  1. Be Respectful: Treat all community members with respect and kindness, regardless of background, identity, or beliefs.
  2. Be Inclusive: Embrace diversity and ensure that everyone feels welcome and included in discussions and activities.
  3. Be Collaborative: Work together with others in a constructive and cooperative manner, fostering a spirit of teamwork and mutual support.
  4. Be Honest and Transparent: Communicate openly and honestly, and be transparent about your intentions, actions, and contributions.
  5. Be Professional: Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, whether interacting online, in-person, or representing the rheadb project in any capacity.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated within the rheadb community. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Harassment: Any form of harassment, intimidation, or unwelcome behavior directed at an individual or group, including but not limited to offensive comments, verbal abuse, or threats of violence.
  2. Discrimination: Discrimination or prejudicial treatment based on factors such as race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
  3. Disruptive Behavior: Disruptive or disrespectful behavior that interferes with the ability of others to participate in the community or negatively impacts the community's atmosphere.
  4. Inappropriate Conduct: Any conduct that is inappropriate or unethical, including but not limited to plagiarism, fraud, or misuse of resources.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the rheadb project maintainers. All reports will be kept confidential and will be reviewed promptly by the project maintainers.

Consequences

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated within the rheadb community. Depending on the severity and context of the violation, consequences for unacceptable behavior may include:

  1. Warning: A private warning from the project maintainers, with an explanation of the violation and a request to cease the behavior immediately.
  2. Temporary Ban: Temporary suspension from participation in community activities, with a specified duration and conditions for reinstatement.
  3. Permanent Ban: Permanent expulsion from the rheadb community, with no opportunity for reinstatement.

By participating in the rheadb community, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and to uphold its principles and values. Thank you for helping to create a positive and inclusive community environment for all contributors.
