Sipatha Shoko

I'm an experienced Software Developer and Platform Engineer.

Development

I am an experienced Java developer, developing professional solutions from version J2SE 1.4, J2EE 1.2, EJB 2.1 using ant.

I have kept abreast with evolving Java ecosystem transitioning to Java 21 and Jakarta 6 using Maven and Gradle as build tools.

Spring Boot or Quarkus? I indepth knowledge and experience of both frameworks which allows me to easily choose Quarkus.

Further to Java programming language, I'm also proficient in Python & Golang.

Platform Engineering

I've recently, 5 years now, transitioned into a Platform Engineering role building and maintaining Kubernetes based platforms on the Azure public cloud. Continous Integration using Github Actions on Github Enterprise and Continous Delivery using FluxCD

Its been an exciting challenge and allowed for more Golang based development.

I'm very versatile having working in Automotive, Banking and Insurance industries development mainly custom software solutions, systems integration and; customising and extending off-the-shelf offering.
