Introduction

Hello there 👋
I'm Cipulot, an Italian PCB designer and programmer. I design custom keyboard hardware and dedicated code for it, as well as other projects ranging from hobby intent to industrial application.

What am I currently working on?

Currently working on the development of open-source EC (Electrostatic Capacitive) keyboard PCBs.

I already have developed and tested with great success replacement PCBs for the Realforce R1 family of keyboards, as well as the HHKB Professional 2 / Professional Classic & Hybrid series, the Realforce 23U numpad and many more.

In parallel I'm working on the Reference Design Series, a collection of PCBs with multilayout support for the most common keyboard layouts, like 60%, TKL, FRL etc.

Cost is a major factor that s considered when I choose components and take design choices for the boards. The lower the cost to produce these boards (while maintaining an acceptable quality and reliability) the more we can bring to the community.

Why is the sponsorship important?

The sponsorship will go directly towards the purchase of equipment, parts and prototypes to test the designs, both active and future ones.
Especially with EC boards, careful attention during the design phase is only part of a successful project. In real life, testing is equally important and for that prototype, runs are needed. I chose parts that are of quality without breaking the bank but MOQ at times can kill a project.
