it would be nice if we could map github users to gitlab users.

perhaps a workaround could be using labels... could use github username as a label on the gitlab issue.

Then after the import you could select issues based on label and assign them all to the user..

I personalty don't have the time.
However i welcome you to fork in a param that takes in an user map file that glues users to comments.
