Welcome new member! Here is a quick guide on items you will need to set up.

Slack:

Slack is what we use for communication. To get set up first

  1. Get invited to the Tesla Works slack channel
  2. Open slack
  3. Click the channels on the left side
  4. Search for guild and join!

Github

I'm going to assume that you found this based on the fact you are reading this. The link to main page: here
How to set up the repository.

  1. Download git for your operating system.
  2. Open up your terminal
  3. Go to the directory to where you want to store the repository folder in your terminal
  4. Again in your terminal type: git clone https://github.com/teslaworksumn/guild-master.git
Now you have the repository downloaded. You are most likely not going to be working directly on master. We will be checking out a new branch instead
  5. put into the command prompt: git checkout Circles
Great now you have switched to the Circles branch!

Basecamp:

This is also where we should be communicating: Login Page We don't really, that might change, if it does edit this page. Also it will be good to have because you can see general information related to Tesla Works.

Lab Access:

You likely know if you have Exceed lab access or not. If you haven't taken a quiz to get it, you don't. Go to the following link and take the quiz to get access: Link to 'Quiz'

Tesla Works Email:

You should already be receiving emails from the general Tesla Works group. If not talk to the project manager.

Setting up software to work on project

I'll edit this later because I still don't know how to set up to work with this.

Overview of project

Now time to get to the good stuff. You probably want to see how this project works. Below are two links, an overview of the software and an overview of the hardware. Go to them to learn about that part of the project.
