Provide a workaround for a well known issue with OpenCV's imread. After a double-check, if not possible to read a given image, returns {saliency: null}. Fails gracefully.

  • Add confidence level based on normalized inverse entropy of saliency map's histogram
  • Clean up resultant JSON while keeping some keys for compatibility with old versions (will be removed in a near future)
