Tracking inactive time

Torkild U. Resheim edited this page Aug 23, 2015 · 1 revision

If you have an active task and go idle, not touching the mouse or keyboard for more than given amount of time (default is five minutes), the Eclipse Timekeeper will start tracking idle time. If activity is detected before the away time (default is thirty minutes) a dialog will be displayed where you can choose whether or not to subtract the idle time. Answer Yes and the time idle will not be added to the total. No will perform no action, so the idle time will be added to the total. If no activity is detected after the away time, the entire period idle will be subtracted. Note that the idle tracker is system wide, so activity in any application will not trigger the idle timer. The "idle" and "away" periods can be adjusted using preference settings.
