Fix Github automated testing issue

For some reason all recent PRs have had issues when it comes to running automated tests. This specifically has to deal with the linting failing, and while I've tried to resolve this issue before I think its better to hand it off to someone.

If you can get the tests to run successfully again, passing the linting stage, please mark this issue as resolved.
