Me again. :) This is the other (minor) feature I mentioned. Model inheritance isn't a big thing in ActiveRecord land (so the test example is a bit contrived), but it's more prominent in Mongoid which supports heterogenous document collections. With this feature, you can specify a subclass (actually, any other class) for individual seeds, and the attribute to do so can be easily configured (or disabled) to handle legacy data or avoid name conflicts. |
