v2.2.0 is a minor feature release with the following noteworthy changes:

  • Belgian eID support,
  • support MS CryptoAPI tokens (for example SafeNet eTokens) on Windows,
  • language selection support in the UI,
  • unofficial Debian and Fedora support.

The recommended way of installing Web eID is by installing the latest Open-EID ID-software package. In case you do not need or want to install the Open-EID package, the release binaries are available separately from web-eid.eu.
