xServer ‐ Wallet Creation

The wallet creation process for xServer is very straightforward, users should always remember a few important security steps that must be taken during the creation of a cryptocurrency wallet.

a. Always choose strong passwords that you will remember or that you can write down and store somewhere safe.

b. Always backup your wallet file in an offline flash drive or similar data device, DO NOT USE ONLINE SERVICES like Dropbox or Google Drive for your wallets or wallet related information.

c. Never, under any circumstances, screenshot your seed words or password.

d. Never share your seed words, passwords or wallet files with anyone else.

These simple steps will greatly decrease the likelihood of you losing access to your funds, please follow all them.

The xServer wallet will never hold active hot funds, only the xCore wallet has access or can transact said funds.

After installing the wallet and setting up the database connection via our last guide you can proceed with the creation of a new xServer cold staking wallet.

1. Open your xServer client.

2. Click 'Create a new wallet'

3. Read the information displayed and click 'Next >'

4. You will be greeted by a splash screen that requires you to create a new xServer wallet file. Make sure you create a strong password that you can remember or write it down somewhere safe. When you are done click 'Create Main Wallet'.

5. Write down your seed words in pen and paper, never screenshot them. When you are done click 'Continue'

6. Enter the appropriate requested seed words and click 'Confirm'

7. When all the information requested is typed in correctly you will receive this prompt, click 'Next >'

8. Now you just have to press 'Finalize Setup'

Your xServer hot staking wallet is now created and you can back it easily at these locations according to your OS.

Windows [WIN] config location: %AppData%\Roaming\Blockcore\x42\x42Main

Linux [TUX] and Mac [MAC] config location: Located in your home directory ~/.Blockcore
