A lot of these packages' latest versions only support later versions of node, so it's likely that (aside from major security updates) these specific packages may not receive further support.

Not sure if you want this patch or not, maybe as a separate branch? My specific use case requires dev compatibility for Node v16, so I had to roll back a few of the updates I made previously. In doing so, since
npm-check-updatekept giving me the latest-latest version regardless of my current npm or node version, I went to each downgraded package and found the latest version which supports v16 and upgraded those versions. So this is a downgrade and an upgrade at the same time, I guess. 🤷
