Welcome to the InstaQuem repository!
InstaQuem is a social networking platform that allows users to connect with each other, share updates, and engage in discussions.
Before starting the installation, make sure that InstaQuem is compatible with your operating system. InstaQuem is only compatible with Windows. If you are using a different operating system, you will not be able to use InstaQuem.
- Verify that Java JDK 19 is installed on your computer. If Java 19 is already installed, you can skip to step 7. If not, follow the instructions below to install it:
- Visit the official JDK Java website (https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/jdk19-archive-downloads.html).
- On the download page, select the Windows x64 Installer option for Java SE Development Kit 19.0.1.
- Once the download is complete, locate the installer on your computer and double-click it to start the installation process.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
- When the installation is complete, click the "Finish" button to exit the installer.
- Set up the "Java path" by following the instructions below:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Click on "System and Security" and then "System."
- Next, click the "Advanced system settings" link located on the right side of the screen.
- In the System Properties panel, click the "Environment Variables" button.
- In the lower section titled "System variables," look for the "Path" variable and click the "Edit" button.
- In the "Edit Environment Variable" window, look for a reference to JDK 19. If a reference already exists, you can skip to step 16. If not, follow the instructions below.
- In the "Edit Environment Variable" window, click the "New" button and add the path to the Java installation directory. For example, if Java was installed in the "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-19\bin" directory, you should add that path to the "Path" variable.
- Click "OK" to close the "Edit Environment Variable" window and "OK" again to close the "Environment Variables" window.
- Go to the InstaQuem repository (https://gitlab.com/psw_22_231/1meec_a04/a04_2) and click on the "InstaQuem.exe" file.
- Click the download button to download the file.
- Once the download is complete, locate the "InstaQuem.exe" file on your computer and double-click it to start.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your InstaQuem account and start using the application.
To use InstaQuem, you will need to create an account by signing up with your username, email, and password. Once you have an account, you can start connecting with friends, posting updates, and participating in discussions.
