## How do project leads and team members get support?

Fear not! We don’t expect you to do this alone. We have a lot of documentation
and structures set up to provide patterns, templates, and support. In fact, we
don’t want you to do it alone; communicating and collaborating about what you’re
doing will make your work better and help the rest of 18F learn from it.

Your first lines of support are the folks you have 1:1s with weekly: the
project’s account manager and your lead or supervisor. They can help you
navigate resources (including guides, guilds, Slack channels, and miscellaneous
people who might be able to help), as well as coaching you on hard
conversations, client management skills, and strategic direction.

### Some resources:

- If you need documentation, look to this handbook and our
[guides](https://18f.gsa.gov/guides/).
- If you need support in a specific skill set, help with deliverables, or would
like to have someone facilitate a session, get help by using
{% slack_channel "18f-help-wanted" %}.
- If your project is part of a portfolio, the portfolio director and your
colleagues in the portfolio can be a great resource.
- If you need advice or coaching, try
- The {% slack_channel "18f-project-leads-only" %} channel!
- Or these chapters, each with a channel you can jump into any time:
- {% slack_channel "product" %}
- {% slack_channel "design" %}
- {% slack_channel "acquisition" %}
- {% slack_channel "dev" %}
- Finally, check the
[guilds and working groups]({% page "/working-groups-and-guilds-101/" %}).
- The {% slack_channel "g-consulting" "Consulting Guild (#g-consulting)" %} may
be able to pair you with another TTS consultant to provide support, including
but not limited to observing meetings with the partner and providing feedback
and advice. Request help in the {% slack_channel "g-consulting" %} channel.
- There's also:
- {% slack_channel "workshop-facilitation" %}
- {% slack_channel "c-project-resources" %}
- {% slack_channel "c-18f-project-leadership" %}
