FAQ
- For now, no. There is a mini HUD in the work, but please, give us time, as there is a lot of other stuff to do now.
The old HUD won't come back. It's code from the last decade and has dependencies on many ancient Courseplay
functions we don't want to maintain forever.
- Yes! This is being worked on beside all the other stuff and for us, but we prefer to have the base Courseplay
functionality nailed down than have a half-working MP.
It is in testing in between all the other stuff that we do. Here as well, give us some time please 🙂
- Our plan is to get field work up and running first. Then come the old mode 9 and 10, this time without requiring a course.
Mode 7, bale wrapping and collection will come back as well. This will later need some integration into Giants
Transport System (and AutoDrive).
For unloading combine, right now, only mode 3 is planned as a simple no course function. It'll look
for a combine on the field and a trailer near the field, similar to combine self unload.
- For now, open the AIVE Menu and turn off AIVE for that vehicle. We'll probably add a dedicated keyboard shortcut later
like Ctrl + H to start Courseplay jobs.
- Well, our new course manager got ups and downs... The best part of it, it now reflects the actual file structure
on your disk (Path: ...\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022\modSettings\FS22_Courseplay\Courses\<Map>\...).
Other than save, load delete, it can also rename folders and courses. The usage is the downside a bit, but it works like this:
- Save a course -> Click on Save, click on the folder, enter the name.
- Load a course -> Choose the folder, click on Load course, click on the course.
To delete, rename and move the course, you have to change the mode.
- Delete a course/folder -> click on Delete, click on the course or folder you want to delete (folders must be empty!).
- Rename a folder or course -> click on Rename, click on the course or folder you want to rename.
- Move a course -> click on Move, click on the course then click on the folder you want to put it in.
As you notice, you have to select the course or folder after you clicked on the action. Yes we noticed as well,
it's a bit clumsy now, but we'll try to streamline it a bit.
- AutoDrive will unload a combine only if it opens its pipe. So make sure you set 'always unfold pipe' option for the combine
to make this work. We are working together with the AutoDrive devs to integrate CP and AD better.
- Right now, you just jump into the vehicle with the course, driving at the position where you want to continue and press H.
It works the same way when just stop your helper with H, you can always continue the work with pressing H again.
