What is TerraLife Plus?

TerraLife Plus is aiming to bring even more realistic gameplay to Farming Simulator. All areas of the game have been changed. No area was off limits. Our goal has been to bring realistic farming closer to interested players and enable teaching and education in to particular styles of farming.

With this modification and some of the features considered, we have ventured into areas that would sometimes stress the limits of the current game engine or the widely used hardware. The timeframe of this project, which was created in our spare time also plays a decisive role in the features that have been implemented in this initial release of TerraLife Plus.

We are already planning for further, future Farming Simulator titles. It's big and getting bigger #WeChangeTheWayYouPlay

What does TerraLife Plus contain?

Together with our partners, we have created a project that is changing many areas of FS22. It would go beyond the scope of this article, so here are a few of the most important elements:

  • Splitting the 12 months into 48 weeks
    • This allows us to show more growth phases of the plants. The field looks different every week
    • Up to 24 visible growth stages
    • Game setting can be selected from 1 day per week to 7 days per week
  • Complete overhaul of the animals
    • Four times more animal models per sex and species
    • Introduction of hay milk cows
    • Completely new animations for all animal models, even at different ages
  • New animal feeding
    • A redesigned animal menu with a better overview of the options
    • More feed sliders for feeding
    • Feed with milk yield bonus and fattening bonus
    • Age and breed-dependent feed system, extensive variation options
    • Colostrum for newborns, which is only given to a limited extent by the mother
  • Realistic sowing machines
    • DSV seed for each plant with customized prices and application rates
    • Any mod seed drill built to Giants standard can be used
    • Realistic NoTill with our Novag T-ForcePlus 350 and Bigfarmer145's T-ForcePlus 640
  • Pallets with individually removable and replaceable bags
  • Use of Carbo Lime and Carbo Fertiliser
  • Selective use of herbicides in green manure and potato cultivation
  • Works with precision farming
  • Full integration of Maize+, Enhanced Animal System and Animal Grazing features so that these mods do not need to be loaded separately

Why are there 4 mods plus map

The project has become so big that we had to split it up. Splitting it up also makes it possible to update individual parts without always having to update everything, should there be bugs that we didn't find during testing. We have therefore split it into the following parts, all of which are required for playing.

  • FS22_TerraLifePlus
    • This is the mod with the scripts and translations
  • FS22_TerraLifePlus_animalFoodAdditions
    • Known from Maize Plus: Definition of the feeding so that it is only a small mod that has to be exchanged on the server if you want to customise the feeding
  • FS22_TerraLifePlus_Assets
    • Contains everything that we could outsource from the maps
    • Contains all bales that can be used with TerraLife Plus
  • FS22_TerraLifePlus_Utils
    • Contains all vehicles and placeable objects that are used on multiple maps
  • FS22_TerraLifePlus_MapName
    • This is the name of the maps that are available in TerraLife Plus. They only contain what is specific to the map and use everything from the other mods wherever possible. This makes the map itself much smaller and can be updated individually in the event of map-specific errors without having to reload the other mods.

Charity idea

TerraLife Plus is the first complete Farming Agency team project. Every single one of the 25 members has contributed to the project to the best of their ability and is part of the project. Together as a team, we have unanimously decided to have the income generated by the ModHub be doubled by Giants and donated to the charity (this will be published transparently by us every month / organisation has not yet been determined) Furthermore, partners, modder friends and other people have contributed to the launch of this project. Models, maps, time and ideas were contributed to support the project and make it multinational. Many thanks for this! The publication of the project with all maps takes place via the Farming Agency Account. Likewise, mods made for TerraLife Plus that use its assets must also be released on the Farming Agency Account, no ModHub money should be withdrawn from the charity, so you have to agree to all income being donated to charity.
