Lenovo Thinkpad A485

In order to get the Lenovo Thinkpad A485 and similar AMD Ryzen based mobile systems to boot on MidnightBSD before 2.0-CURRENT, you need to modify /boot/loader.conf

Add hw.pci.mcfg=0

This is required on most laptops using the AMD Ryzen 2500u CPU.

Additionally, the onboard WiFi, a Realtek rtl8822be does not work with MidnightBSD. The wired controller does and you can add a USB WiFi adapter to get online. You can replace the onboard WiFi module with an older Intel WiFi adapter available on Amazon for around $25.

Sound does work.

Webcam works in MidnightBSD 2.x.
