Minutes

Jamie:

  • Depth of data Geospatial is going to be a challenge in the Municipal view
  • Presented some ideas:
    • Zoom to muni
      • Click on SAUID to get to specific more detailed data/information as a slide-out
        • Generally supported
      • Malaika, should we indicate how much of the risk for the muni is attributed to the SAUID
      • Some discussion about the detailed view and how to ensure that the context (In Muni x) is maintained.
    • Vanessa: perhaps show the Overall Threat below the other threats in Treat Summary
      • Jamie: we don’t want to presuppose what someone's concern is so we show overall first.
    • Malaika: should the time slider below the muni map include 2020?
      • should 2015 be changed to “Present”
      • Murray: dates based on exposure model (2016 Census)
        • 2015 is the most current - maybe change to 2016
    • Murray: perhaps we don’t show numbers for threat in the muni view, use a scale (e.g., low, medium, high, etc..)

Discussion on probability:

  • Karolina: As a percentage ( Probability of experiencing an event…) is not clear.
  • Malaika: maybe we don’t show it on a scale?
  • Sahar: can we compare against other muni’s or show how it compares nationally?
    • Generally supported

Closing comments:

  • Murray: we can probably take most of the metrics that are in the by address view to the municipal view

Chat notes:

Sahar Safaie to Everyone (9:55 AM)
1 out of 3 chances resonates (at least to me). (In brainstorming mode) How about something like: this is higher than the chance of getting each side of a 3 sided dice?
