+January 23, 2025, at 1700hrs (Davos local time), Davos, Swiss Federation, during her attendance at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 (WEF AM25), Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra had a bilateral discussion with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of the Republic of Armenia. Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub disclosed gist of the meeting is as follows:
+The Prime Minister was pleased with the relations between the two countries, and thanked Armenia for its support on the initiation of the free trade agreement negotiation between Thailand and the Eurasian Economic Union (Thailand-EAEU FTA), of which Armenia is a member. She was confident that Thailand-EAEU FTA would help increase trade volume and leverage economic potential of both parties.
+The Armenian Prime Minister expressed Armenia’s intent to promote closer relations and cooperation with Thailand, and would assign the Armenian Ambassador to Beijing, People’s Republic of China, to include Thailand in the list of countries under its jurisdiction.
+Both the Prime Ministers also agreed to push ahead the negotiation on visa exemption between Thailand and Armenia to promote people’s visits and travels. Concerned agencies of both countries will be assigned to proceed with the matter.

+January 22, 2025, at 1600hrs (Davos local time), at the Congress Center, Davos, Swiss Federation, during her attendance at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 (WEF AM25), Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra had a bilateral discussion with President Karin Keller-Sutter of the Swiss Federation. Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub disclosed gist of the meeting is as follows:
+The Prime Minister mentioned about “Thailand Reception”, an event hosted by concerned Thai public and private sectors during the WEF AM25 to present popular Thai dishes to WEF participants and media to their delight. Food is one of Thailand's soft powers that showcases the country’s local wisdoms, and has become globally popular thanks to the effort of farmers and Thai restaurant operators.
+The Swiss President congratulated the success of “Thailand Reception” and the Thailand-EFTA (European Free Trade Association) FTA negotiation, which would play an important role in an increase of trade and investment between Thailand and Switzerland. Both the leaders also discussed cooperation on visa exemption and Switzerland’s support over Thailand's green transition.
+The Prime Minister has witnessed the signing of Thailand-EFTA FTA, held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 0900hrs (Davos time) at the House of Switzerland. Parties under the agreement include Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Thailand. Thailand-EFTA FTA is expected to help increase trade between Thailand and these European Union countries through tariff cuts stipulated under the agreement.

+January 23, 2025, at 0900hrs (Davos local time) at the House of Switzerland, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra witnessed the signing of the Thailand-EFTA (European Free Trade Association) FTA. Signatories of the TH-EFTA FTA are:
+(1) Mr. Guy Parmelin, Vice President and head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research of the Swiss Federation, as host and spokesperson of the Free Trade Agreement negotiations between Thailand and the European Free Trade Association
+(2) Mr. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, Thailand
+(3) Ms. Cecilie Myrseth, Minister of Trade and Industry, Kingdom of Norway, as chair of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) in 2025
+(4) Mr. Martin Eyjolfsson, Permanent Secretary of State, Iceland
+(5) Ms. Dominique Hasler, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Education and Sport of Liechtenstein
+(6) Mr. Kurt Jager, EFTA Secretary-General
+The TH-EFTA FTA is the first FTA signed during this Government. In addition to strengthening economic relations between Thailand and EFTA member countries, the FTA will also promote closer cooperation in such areas as advanced technology and innovation, human capital development, SME promotion and sustainable development.

+วันศุกร์ที่ 24 มกราคม 2568 เวลา 09.30 น.  นางสาวศศิกานต์ วัฒนะจันทร์ รองโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี เปิดเผยว่า หลังจากคณะรัฐมนตรี (ครม.) ได้มีมติเห็นชอบให้สินค้า 3 รายการ ได้แก่ เครื่องทอดน้ำมันท่วม  เตาไมโครเวฟ และเครื่องหนีบผม – ยืดผมไฟฟ้า เป็นสินค้าควบคุมตามที่กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมเสนอ เพื่อสร้างมาตรฐานใหม่และคุ้มครองความปลอดภัยให้แก่ประชาชน เนื่องจากเป็นเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าที่ประชาชนใช้กันเป็นจำนวนมาก แต่บางผลิตภัณฑ์ไม่มีคุณภาพทำให้เกิดอันตรายกับผู้ใช้ จึงต้องเข้มงวดให้มีความปลอดภัยในการใช้งานมากขึ้น ซึ่งเดิมทั้ง 3 รายการ เป็นสินค้าที่สำนักงานมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรม (สมอ.) ควบคุมอยู่แล้ว โดยในปีที่ผ่านมา สมอ. ได้ยึดอายัดไดร์เป่าผม และเครื่องหนีบผมที่ไม่ได้มาตรฐาน มูลค่ากว่า 8 ล้านบาท ซึ่งการทบทวนแก้ไขมาตรฐานในครั้งนี้ เพื่อให้มีความทันสมัย สอดคล้องตามเทคโนโลยีการผลิตในปัจจุบัน โดยอ้างอิงตามมาตรฐานสากล เพื่อยกระดับการคุ้มครองความปลอดภัยของผู้ใช้ และสร้างความเป็นธรรมในการแข่งขันให้กับผู้ประกอบการไทย
+นางสาวศศิกานต์ กล่าวต่อว่า มาตรฐานทั้ง 3 รายการ มีการแก้ไขข้อกำหนดที่สำคัญ ดังนี้ 1) เครื่องทอดน้ำมันท่วม แก้ไขขอบข่ายให้ชัดเจนขึ้น ครอบคลุมเครื่องทอดน้ำมันท่วมที่มีปริมาณน้ำมันสูงสุดไม่เกิน 5 ลิตร รวมกระทะทอด กระทะก้นโค้ง และเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าอื่นที่ใช้งานคล้ายกัน และมีแรงดันไฟฟ้าไม่เกิน 250 โวลต์ เพิ่มข้อกำหนดที่ช่วยลดความเสี่ยงจากการได้รับอันตรายจากไฟฟ้า เช่น การใช้วัสดุฉนวน เช่น ยางหรือพลาสติก เพื่อป้องกันการสัมผัสกับส่วนที่มีไฟฟ้า การใช้สายไฟที่มีมาตรฐานหรือการติดตั้งระบบกราวด์ เป็นต้น ซึ่งมาตรฐานจะมีผลบังคับใช้ 180 วัน นับจากวันประกาศราชกิจจานุเบกษา 2) เครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าสำหรับการดูแลผม ขน หรือผิว ได้เพิ่มข้อกำหนดให้ฉลากระบุวิธีการใช้งานที่ถูกต้องเพื่อความปลอดภัย เพิ่มการทดสอบเพื่อให้แน่ใจว่าเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าจะไม่มีเปลวไฟออกมาในขณะใช้งาน และเพิ่มข้อกำหนดการป้องกันการสัมผัสกับพื้นผิวร้อนโดยบังเอิญ รวมถึงการป้องกันเส้นผมถูกดูดเข้าในเครื่องขณะใช้งาน มาตรฐานดังกล่าวจะมีผลบังคับใช้ 180 วัน นับจากวันประกาศราชกิจจานุเบกษา และ 3) เตาไมโครเวฟที่ใช้ในที่อยู่อาศัย แรงดันไฟฟ้าไม่เกิน 250 โวลต์ มีการแก้ไขวิธีทดสอบความทนทานของประตูเปิด-ปิด โดยเพิ่มจำนวนครั้งในการทดสอบประตู ให้มีความทนทานมากขึ้น และเพิ่มข้อกำหนดการกระบายความร้อนของตัวเครื่อง ให้สามารถใช้งานเตาไมโครเวฟในตู้บิ๊วท์อินของที่พักอาศัยได้  ซึ่งมาตรฐานนี้จะมีผลบังคับใช้ 270 วัน นับจากวันประกาศราชกิจจานุเบกษา
+“กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมจะเร่งเสนอร่างกฎกระทรวงนำส่งสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรีลงประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษาต่อไป สำหรับผู้ประกอบการที่ได้รับใบอนุญาตตามมาตรฐานฉบับเดิมไปแล้ว สามารถยื่นขออนุญาตตามมาตรฐานใหม่ผ่านระบบ E-license ของ สมอ. ซึ่งได้เตรียมความพร้อมไว้แล้วทุกด้าน เพื่อให้ธุรกิจของท่านดำเนินการได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง” นางสาวศศิกานต์ ระบุ
