Chromecast is a line of digital media players developed by Google.
Designed as small dongles, the devices play audio/video content on a high-definition television or home audio system by directly streaming it via Wi-Fi from the Internet or a local network.
Users select the media to play using mobile apps and web apps that support the Google Cast technology.
Alternatively, content can be mirrored from the Google Chrome, Chromium or Vivaldi web browsers running on a personal computer, as well as from the screen of some Android devices.

UMS include Chromecast support since december 2014, using that open source library.

If you encounter some issue, add chromecast_debug = true in your UMS.conf file inside your profile folder and select only the Google-Android-Chromecast.conf or force the Chromecast renderer, before posting your "Trace" log file.

Note: In case you get issue while using Android devices at the same time, you can disable Chromecast support adding chromecast_extension = false into your UMS.conf file found in your profile folder.
macOS users will find their UMS.conf file following this path:
/home//Library/Application Support/UMS.
