UMS can be extended with plugins. A plugin file can be installed by copying it into the "plugins" directory. When UMS is started, all installed plugins are read from the directory. Some plugins have options that can be edited. Click on the button for the plugin in the "General Configuration" tab, under "Plugins".
Below is a list of popular plugins for UMS.
- AutoDeleteFileAfterPlay
- Channels Plugin - Forum Support Thread
- GoogleMusic plugin - Forum Support Thread
- GrooveShark - Forum Support Thread
- Jumpy - Forum Support Thread - Tutorial - How to automatically push media to your renderer
- Last.fm
- MediaMonkey
- MovieInfo - Forum Support Thread
- PMSEncoder
- Shutdown (Windows only)
- Soundcloud
- Uitzending Gemist (Dutch TV web streams)
- UMS web interface
Note: Most, if not all, of the plugins hasn't been updated for a long time, and are not anymore maintened by their developpers, so you should probably just remove/delete them if issues arise while using them. They should still work on old UMS versions though.
