On this wiki you will find every information you need to know in order to have a successful hackathon! In detail you find the agenda, some information on how to register and set up your profile for the Swiss Legal Tech organization, the important hackathon rules and much more.
The most important task before you start hacking is to make sure that you are correctly registered to the Swiss Legal Tech organization. Therefore follow the instructions on chapter 1.1.

In order to take part in the hackathon, form teams, store code and participate in discussions you need to be a member of the Swiss Legal Tech GitHub Organization.
Therefore please go to 1.1 and follow the instructions there to join the organization with your GitHub ID.
Once you've decided on a team you can officially set the membership by forming a team as a daughter team under your track of choice. Here is how you do it:
- Create a repository under the Swiss Legal Tech Organization and initialize it with an open source license.
- Assign your repository to your team.
- Authorize your team members as maintainers for the repo.
- Here is how you do it: Create GitHub Repository & add it to your team
If you've never used git before do this tutorial in advance of the hackathon.
Teams can be formed around an idea before or after the Hackathon. Teams must, however, choose a track. Choosing one track or the other does not limit your team in any way. Tracks are simply there to help you orient yourself and choose an interesting problem to work on.
We have created a Slack-channel in order to communicate with the Hackathon-Team, which you should already be joined.
Here is a general invite where you can join the Slack channel: hackinglaw.slack.com
Make sure to review the Rules before the beginning of the event.

Don't forget: the winner team, who make it all the way through the hackathon will get the possibility to present projects at the conference as well. So keep on hacking!
